Campus Computing Sites are centers of student computing life at Michigan. Besides being able to use the latest computer software, printers, and scanners, students can check e-mail, access their online file storage space, and participate in collaborative work environments. Consultants, available at most sites, provide assistance and answer questions.
On the U-M Ann Arbor campus, there are 44 general-use sites, 18 residence hall sites, 14 express-use sites, as well as sites for schools and colleges, multimedia, computer game play, and student organization work. Students with temporary injuries or ongoing disabilities can use specialty workstations and software available at the university's Adaptive Technology Computing Site or computing sites throughout campus.
A unique U-M service, which is always available, is the ability to "borrow" software. Students can access Windows software online for remote use on their computer.
